TESTIMONIALS

 What my clients say;

Jan - Lulu’s Mum

My working Cocker Spaniel, Lulu, goes to see Louise every 2/3 months for maintenance. Cockers tend to do everything at top speed and so her regular massage sessions keep her in top condition and Louise can correct any muscle problems before they cause Lulu pain and discomfort. Besides this, Lulu absolutely loves the sessions and can’t wait for Louise to get started.

Katie - river’s Mum

I would highly recommend Louise the improvement I have seen in my dogs mobility is amazing and my dog is happier in herself. Louise is a very friendly and helpful person. Definitely worth a visit top lady and service.

Lesley - buster’s mum

My 8 year old boy Buster was starting to get the old age joint pains along with back and hip issues.

We called in Louise and within 1 session we could already see the improvement he can now walk up and down the stairs a lot easier and is back to enjoying his walkies.

He loves his massages as well. Soon as Lou knocks on the door he is in his place on the sofa ready for her healing hands.

I highly recommend Lou

Beth - vivi’s mum

Louise came recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. Both my mum and I use her services for our dogs, and they both love going to Louise. Since treatment my Mums dog could not be more different, as a rescue she had various issues and since treatments with Louise she’s improved beyond belief. Our dog can’t wait to get to Louise’s door and the problem she had has really improved since treatment.

I’d recommend Louise to anyone and everyone without hesitation

Louise has helped my border collie who will be 18 this year! her running after a ball days is now long gone but having a lovely massage helps keep her legs strong and leaves her completely chilled.

We rehomed a year old dog that had been operated on having his front left bicep tendon surgically severed.  After months of physio and Hydrotherapy he was still limping badly.  A friend recommended Louise so we gave her a try. Within 3 or 4 sessions he was running around enjoying play and life again. I can’t recommend Louise and massage therapy highly enough, we now have remedial sessions every couple of months.

mary - lilli’s mum

I can’t recommend Louise highly enough.

My dog is a rescue who had been used for breeding and she had several health issues. She was constantly at the vets during her first 18 months living with me.

After Louise was recommended to me for what we thought were spinal issues, she has not had to visit the vets for anything more than hardened wax in her ears. From the first treatment with Louise she was like a new dog running up the steps when we left after avoiding all steps & stairs previously. I so wish I had known about Louise sooner & so does my bank balance! As a rescue I think my dog was highly stressed due to her previous life & the trauma of being rescued. This in turn had presented as various health issues which were relieved by the massage treatments Louise performed.

Lynn - Dylan’s mum

Louise has been an amazing support to our dogs and to us over the last few years. She treated Dylan every week until we sadly lost him in June 2022. He was a different dog after his massage, clearly more comfortable and therefore happier and relaxed.

We have recently adopted Maddie who had a tough start in life. Again Louise has been an amazing support, giving Maddie a massage helping her to feel more relaxed in her new home. Louise has also given us invaluable advice on how to help Maddie adapt to her new life.

Louise is dedicated and professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her love for dogs is evident. She always goes above and beyond!

Maddie will certainly be keeping up her regular massages.

A big heartfelt thanks for all you do!

Bee -cara’s mum

Louise helped Cara immensely. You could see how much better she was even after our first visit.

Louise is very knowledgeable indeed and explained what she intended to do on each visit.

She was kind and gentle with Cara, making her feel totally relaxed, and me too!

Highly recommended.

sue - alfie’s mum

Louise has been visiting my elderly terrier Alfie for several years now, he suffers with joint issues and arthritis. By having regular massages from Louise it keeps him mobile and happy to walk and exercise. I would highly recommend Louise , she is highly knowledgeable and my dog adores her visits

Louise, is simply a life-saver. My seven year old labradoodle slipped on some mud and badly pulled her shoulder ligament. The vet said “rest”.  We rested, we improved, then we limped again. We were in a constant cycle of short and slow boring lead walks (if that). It was depressing for the both of us. I just wanted to see my dog enjoying life again…playing, running, walking in the countryside. Then in stepped Louise. After an assessment in our own home in St Albans, we started regular treatments. My dog loves Louise and the massage. By the summer I had my dog back, we were walking, running, sprinting, paddle-boarding together like she was a puppy again!

gary - bobby’s dad

Our Border Collie had a severe limp and the vet has no idea what was wrong even after X-rays. An MRI was booked but in the meantime we contacted Louise to come and look at him.   She noticed his fur was displaced in three different areas over his body (which can be a sign of muscle dysfunction) and started to treat him.  She showed me his tight muscles and after 4 sessions he was back to his normal self and saved us the cost of an MRI too. Not only did Louise do an amazing job, Bobby has made a new friend for life. We are now booking with Louise to give him a massage every few months to keep him in tip top condition. A lovely lady and a wonderful service thoroughly recommended.

nick - bailey’s dad

I didn’t know there was such a thing as a canine massage. I never considered it to be in my arsenal to help my 12+ year old lab with his various ailments.

Like us as the body ages and we start to feel the aches and pains, this is true for all mammals.

The rate at which my boy is deteriorating is inevitable but I am convinced that without his treatments from Louise he wouldn’t be in as good a place as he currently is. Still enjoy life and his walks.

helen - luna’s mum

Canine massage has improved my nearly 10 year old beagle crosses shaking back legs. She actually has more energy on her walks after her treatment. She loves her regular massages so much she nods off during the session. Thank you Louise.

anna - dexter’s mum

You can physically and mentally see the weight come off my dog's body and mind after having a massage from Louise. He is so pleased to arrive at hers and sleeps incredibly well afterwards. Louise is patient and compassionate with both my dog and me. She reassured me before my first visit. My dog is blind so you have to go slow with him and allow him time to adjust to where he is and what is going on. Nothing is too much effort for Louise and there is zero hard sell. She is also a great counsel to me because let's be honest we sometimes wonder as dog parents if we are doing right by them. You will be doing right by your pup by taking them to see Louise.

vicki - bruno’s mum

My Tripaw aged 7 went temporarily lame following a fall getting off the sofa. I was desperate to help restore mobility and manage any pain as the options seemed bleak. Louise at Home Counties Massage was recommended by a friend but I was somewhat sceptical, as Bruno also has scoliosis of the spine.

Louise understood the issues, took time to assess Bruno to tailor his treatment and set about doing all she could to help us. I couldn’t be more delighted with the transformation in Bruno’s mobility and general demeanour since his first treatment. It is obvious that he finds the treatments helpful and that muscles and areas of his body that were causing him discomfort on arrival have been released and soothed by the time we leave.  His mood lifts and his enjoyment and engagement in walks and meeting other dogs returns. I also leave the sessions reassured and buoyed from an hour of calm and increased knowledge about dog behaviour, accessories and foods. Sessions with Home Counties Canine Massage are now part of keeping Bruno mobile, pain and drug free for as long as possible.  We are both grateful to Louise.

Chris - saffie’s mum

Following extensive joint surgery, Louise's monthly massages help Saffie to overcome her stiffness and arthritis. Keeping our 11 year old labrador's muscles supple, which enables her to still enjoy her walks. Saffie absolutely loves Louise and the massages she receives!

Claire - seren’s mum

Regular sports massage sessions help to keep my two working gundogs performing at their best. They love their treatments with Louise, and I now see this as part of their health and well-being routine

Terry - benson’s dad

My three year old retriever developed a limp. After spending many hundreds of pounds at the vets the poor lad was diagnosed with arthritis in his elbows. He was prescribed painkillers but on bad days it was plain to see he was struggling on walks. Then by chance I met Louise who gave my dog a muscle check and suggested his problem was exacerbated by my wooden floors. I invested in a rug and some runners for him and Louise visited and massaged him. Two weeks later I had my happy boy back. We are both enjoying our walks again. Amazing treatment and brilliant service. I urge anyone with a dog with joint problems to try her service - you will not be disappointed Louise is a marvel.

kath - caesar’s mum

Louise treated our 11 year old Springer Spaniel for a inconsistent limp on his front right leg. He is a ‘lively and cheeky’ character aka naughty and a typical lively springer. She managed him with huge care, great professionalism and a wicked sense of humour. She adapted to his needs and thought outside the box to ensure his experience was 100% positive. Not only was his treatment beneficial for his original complaint, it has also allowed us as owners to understand his needs and movements better so we can ensure he continues to be a happy boy who enjoys his walks and play. He now has maintenance treatments allow him to be comfortable and free moving for much longer periods of time.

sophie - thor’s mum

Thor has been suffering with an intermittent limp on his front right shoulder for a few years now, he had 3 sessions with Louise and the limp hasn't been back since, even when running and chasing squirrels!

Louise herself is fantastic, she made him feel very comfortable and gave him breaks if he became restless.

We now have monthly maintenance sessions so he can continue living his best life.

veryan - Trudi’s Mum

Louise has totally transformed the life of our greyhound Trudy. She is an ex racer with many previously unmanaged issues following her racing career, primarily she had entirely bald thighs and haunches which are now almost entirely covered in fur which is singularly down to Louise’s treatment.

She absolutely enjoys her sessions with Louise and is a very happy and content lady due to the loving therapy that Louise provides to her. Many thanks Magic Auntie Lou.

Ellie - Jojo’s mum

Louise is amazing, she has helped my dog Jojo who is 5 years old recover from a cruciate ligament injury. Vet's said she would potentially need an operation, a route I didn't really want to go down but then I was recommended to Louise and I'm so glad I went down the route of massage for Jo as she is now back to her old self.

I can't thank Louise enough for all her help and knowledge.

I'd recommend Louise to anyone who thinks their dog would benefit from her healing hands!.

claire - murphy’s mum

I took my dog to see Louise after she was recommended to me when my Sprocker spaniel picked up a nasty back injury. Louise immediately put my dog at ease and didn’t push him to do anything he wasn’t comfortable with, she is incredibly calming and patient and you won’t find anybody more knowledgeable! There is a genuine passion and care for what she does and even after just one treatment my dog was clearly out of pain, his tail was back wagging and I honestly believe there was a smile on his face!.

antonia- lizzie’s mum

Louise has been helping Lizzie with Canine Massage Therapy for the past 4 years. Lizzie is active and competes in agility and Louise has been helping improve her mobility , reduce stiffness and remove trigger points to normalise her muscular function and therefore enhance her performance.

Louise has just started helping Roxy who is only 2 & half years old and also active. She has been training and competing in agility for a year. Both girls really benefit from Louise’s treatments and enjoy them.

janine - hetty’s mum

Hetty visits Louise once a month. Knowing that the massage worked for my previous dog, I decided to take her as she was a bit stiff on her back legs. Being a bit of a fidget and having sensitive skin, I wasn't sure if massage would be for her. it turns out it was the perfect match.

After the 1st session, she was walking without any stiffness and enjoying walks again.

Not only has massage helped with her muscles, but also with her skin, which was thinning due as a side effect from steroids for her itchy skin. Canine Massage has kept her fur in tip-top condition, resulting in no more steroids, and she is back to her cheeky ways, running and barking.

Rebecca - skye’s mum

My Skye has been seeing Louise for a few years. She has arthritis in her hips and was very stiff. After a few sessions with Louise she was back to her bouncy self!

Louise is very knowledgeable and recommended other treatments for Skye too. She really does have the dogs health and well-being in mind at all times. I would highly recommend Home Counties Canine Massage.

Paula - erics mum

We noticed my rescue Eric was having trouble jumping into the car etc. We took him to the vets who noticed the problem was a pain along his back and probably the result of cruelty in the past. She gave me a choice of either using painkillers straight away or trying a more holistic approach.

I had met Louise at a charity event previously so contacted her. Eric had 4 closely spaced appointments and the results were a huge success. Now we see Louise on a maintenance basis, Eric loves Louise and can't wait to get in for his treatment when we arrive. I would highly recommend Louise who has a fantastic knowledge of canine anatomy and behaviour.
