PRINCIPLES OF PAIN

What Are the 5 Principles of Pain?

  • This classification aid is an easy and straightforward chart that has been designed by the Canine Massage Guild which I am proud to be a member of.

  • The 5 Principles of Pain classifies and identifies activities, changes and behaviours that you see with your dog which can indicate that they have muscular and myofascial pain.

  • The indicators defined are those which frequently respond to Clinical Massage Therapy with positive changes in 1-3 sessions.

Please give me a call or drop me an email about your dog to help you to decide if massage could help your dog.

remember

Dogs give strong indicators of muscular and myofascial pain that we classify into 5 Principles of Pain.

All of the 5 Principles frequently respond well to Clinical Canine Massage Therapy.

Dogs can’t speak for themselves. It’s not just them getting old or being uncooperative, muscular and myofascial pain causes changes across the 5 Principles.
